In Oslo with Othélie
Heiii, new and last week! This week went really fast, I didn’t see it pass. In the workshop I was able to finish all the jewellery I had started (the three hearts). They all had something that differentiated them. Then I did some filing on jewels that will belong to the Queen of Norway's grandchildren, I did some balls and other little things. During the week Hilde invited me for lunch to a bakery (we ate and had coffee) to discuss what I had learned, what I would do later too and all kinds of things. It was really nice! Oh and I almost forgot, Wednesday we spent all day out of the workshop. We left all day (Hilde, a friend of hers who is a jeweller, her apprentice and I) to visit and also meet another jeweller friend (Gry Grindbakken) and her apprentice. In the morning we went to the Telemark Museum to observe old traditional jewellery and clothing that had just arrived and had to be studied before being exhibited. Then we went to a supply store where I bought some stones. Then we went and finally headed to Gry’s shop and workshop. We talked a lot and then she made me do glass beads. It was great! We finally finished our day talking about jewellery and then we went home.(Gry also told me that if I was looking for an internship, I just had to call! ) For the family side, we talked a little more this week. I haven’t been able to do anything interesting besides packing my things, fill out some papers and also prepare souvenirs for everyone. On Friday night, Anne and I spoke and watched a movie together, remembering a little bit of what had happened during that month. I was a little sad. Then we went to bed. I got on the plane. Pretty much everything went well. My first plane was 30 minutes late (there was a technical problem and they couldn’t figure out where it came from. Rather reassuring...!) but fortunately I had to wait three hours for my other flight, so I didn't miss it. Then I finally arrived in Toulouse. It was 11°. It was pretty funny because I thought it was hot. Anyway, I saw my family again, unpacked, took a good shower and went to sleep. It was really the next day that I realized I was home and everything was over. I already miss Norway, but I know that I will go back there someday. It was definitely one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in my life. I thank all the people who made this experience possible and I wish you a good holiday! Bye bye! |

Bisous!! |
